The Carlton Gate Hotel first opened its doors in 2013 with 45 rooms plus a separate Presidential Suite with 5 rooms, 3 living rooms and a parking space of its own. The rooms are richly decorated with king sized beds, writing desks, coffee tables, armchairs, portraits, air conditioners and flat screen TVs with cable channels.
In addition, there’s a free 24 hour Wi-Fi network, well equipped gym, moderate swimming pool, courtesy newspapers, complimentary breakfast, restaurant and bar. The bar serves a variety of cocktails while the restaurant’s menu consists of affordable traditional and continental dishes; including Carlton Gate Hotel’s signature grilled fish. There used to be a mini mart and library on the premises, I really hope they reopen them. The multipurpose hall has a gallery and space for seating up to 80 people. The meeting room upstairs is usually setup board room style; theater seating can accommodate a total of 40 people. This hotel in Ibadan is in a quiet neighborhood and secured by electric wire, high walls, CCTV cameras and uniformed guards. There is a central fire alarm, regularly serviced fire extinguishers and smoke detectors.
