Over the next couple of weeks the blog will focus mostly on hotels in Lekki, especially to provide insight for mainlanders who don’t want to relocate but just want a taste.
Lekki is home to several highbrow estates and businesses, one of which is the Dixie Suites boutique hotel. Located off Admiralty Way in Phase 1, the hotel was established in 2014. It has a total of 16 rooms in standard, deluxe and superior categories, laundry service, a gym, swimming pool, open air bar and restaurant, CCTV cameras, Wi-Fi, multipurpose hall, business facilities, in-room Digital safe and ample on-site parking.
Dixie Suites rooms come with a complimentary breakfast and the menu offers African and Continental cuisine prepared by a chef who is also well versed in Indian and Chinese meals. If the guest is diabetic the hotel’s seasoned manager is a Diabetic Chef and is on hand to handle those special meals. This sort of service and dedication makes me feel if there was a situation that required more personalized service they are well equipped to handle it.
Happy hour is 6-8pm every day and guests may have birthday parties at the poolside for free but must buy beverages from the hotel. For a Bachelor Eve guests must reserve a minimum of 4 rooms and get to use one of two available terraces free. I strongly recommend this hotel on the grounds of the attention to detail regarding safety protocols. Around the fence is some electrified barbed wire; plus fire hoses and extinguishers, strategically situated around the property.
The atmosphere is so quiet, serene and secure that I’ve been back a number of times, mostly to relax by the swimming pool.
