The reason I love my job so much is because I love adventure. I like discovering things old and new, places, people etc. And so when I went off to Osborne Estate Phase 2, Ikoyi it was with a childlike curiosity. I had never been to that part of Ikoyi before and my driver almost drove past the estate’s gate.
The Three Arms Hotel is easy enough to find on google map but to save time, one should also ask the natives for directions. This beautiful boutique hotel in Ikoyi was opened in 2010 and has two giant cabin generators so guests need never fear sudden power outage.
There are 22 rooms in total split into Classic, Executive and Diplomatic categories. Each room is luxuriously decorated and fitted with a bed, writing desk, flat screen TV with cable network and a view of the beautiful neighborhood.
Other facilities include a meeting room with a retractable partition that seats 30 depending on the arrangement. There is a lovely secluded swimming pool surrounded by trees and on certain Fridays there is a barbecue set up beside it. Guests have free access to the hotel’s Wi-Fi network, complimentary newspapers, fully equipped gym, business facilities, the bar and restaurant.
I perused the menu and had an early lunch which cost only N2, 500 – the meal was tasty and filling. In addition the local and continental cuisine on the menu has guaranteed that in the not too distant future the Travel Man shall be having an intimate dinner at the Three Arms Hotel. It is situated in a secure, beautiful and serene estate so unwanted guests are impossible.
I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates quiet, quality service and good food. You don’t even have to be a traveler, just take your significant other over for an amazing lunch or dinner and thank me later.
