This Victoria Island hotel is situated along Bishop Oluwole Street and at first glance the exterior of Virgin Rose Resort deceptively seems like that of a bank. The 3 star boutique hotel was opened for business back in 2009 and is centrally located a short distance from Silverbird Galleria, several banks and restaurants on the Island.
The theme is Red like a Rose because roses are symbols of love and the hotel wants you to feel loved. With six room categories spread across two wings, there are 90 rooms in total, a couple conference rooms and a multipurpose hall that can seat 250 people.
Virgin Rose Resorts has all the trappings of a modern hotel, Wi-Fi, functional gym, swimming pool, adequate parking space, restaurant and bar, lounge plus a Spa and Sauna.
The rooms in the newer wing are more spacious and comfortably furnished most have a nice view of the ocean and the fast growing Atlantic City. All rooms are non smoking but the Terrace Bar and the area by the pool are designated smoking areas. Speaking of bars happy hour is every Friday from 6 -10pm.
The menu is a blend of Continental and African dishes comparatively priced and there’s a special offer on smoked fish.
The spa offers hot stone and hot oil massages, facials, body exfoliation, steam bath and body glo all great ways to relieve stress and tension.
