Solitude Hotel & Spa – serenity redefined

There is a lot to like about the Solitude Hotel & Spa; starting with the location which is just off the popular Ligali Ayorinde, at 2 TY Danjuma Street. This hotel in Victoria Island was first opened in 2010 and possesses a distinctly serene and calm environment. There is ample parking space and plenty of security; uniformed guards, CCTV cameras & high walls.

Solitude Hotel & Spa Victoria Island checks every box when it comes to facilities. From the 24 hour Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast, newspapers and business facilities to the poolside lounge, fully equipped gym and spa, well stocked bar and restaurant that offers a variety of local and Continental dishes. There are two conference halls, the first seats only 70 people while the rooftop hall can seat up to 250 people depending on the arrangement.

The hotel is in close proximity to the Landmark Event Center, Hard Rock Café, Oniru private beach and many more Island based establishments so there a dull moment. Given its location the hotel’s room rates are quite reasonable. There are 21 rooms divided into the following categories –Standard, Executive, Deluxe, Imperial, Royal and Diplomatic. Each room is beautifully decorated and has a mini fridge, flat screen TV, writing desk and safety deposit box. The Diplomatic room is quite a treat as it’s as big as a mini flat.

I look forward to a good night’s stay at the Solitude Hotel & Spa in due time and recommend it to all travelers both business and casual, who appreciate some peace and quiet while being pampered.
