This 3-star hotel in Lagos is tucked away behind the Palms Shopping mall on Jakande close, off Landbridge Avenue, Oniru Estate, Victoria Island extension. La Playa Suites is in a very secure location as no one can access that street without passing through the Estate security check point. Aside from the numerous facilities available on site guests can easily stroll into the Mall to catch a movie, meal or meeting. Meanwhile Victoria Island’s business district is approximately 15 minutes away depending on traffic.
What to expect
Opened back in 2004 La Playa Suites has a total of 30 luxuriously decorated rooms shared into three categories –standard, deluxe and suites. Each room is well appointed and comes with a Queen-sized bed, safety deposit box, air conditioner, flat screen TV with satellite channels, DVD player, writing desk, armchairs, mini-fridge and coffee/tea making set.

Conclusion
I discovered La Playa Suites is a preferred hangout for expatriate travelers and their families. I spotted quite a few casual returning guests during my inspection. They were relaxed and very friendly with the staff which speaks volumes about the service.
