Temple Cottage- Affordable Quality

This boutique hotel is in essence a Bed & Breakfast but with Lunch and Dinner inclusive; it’s like the manager Cyril said to me they “sell you the hotel experience without the hotel feel”. It’s quite understandable with policies like the Bottomless Coffee for just N1, 000 you can have as many cups of coffee or expressos as you want between 8am -1pm. Happy Hour is every day from 4.30 – 8pm and it’s a buy one get one free deal on beers.

As a foodie I should tell you that the diverse menu is a strong selling point; try the Temple Dagwood Burger and see for yourself. Most of their pasta is made on the premises and the same goes for the croissants and bread buns served with breakfast. Oh and don’t get me started on the pizza toppings; lest I forget the pizzas and hamburger come with free drinks. (What? I know right!)

Established in February 2015 Temple Cottage is for those who know where to look; very accessible, literally at the end of the road, secluded and perfect for taking a break from the world. It has 11 well furnished, super comfortable rooms, little wonder why one guest decided to extend a three day stay to one month. The colorful stones in the bathroom are a really nice touch.

In the back garden you and your friends can catch up while taking in the cool night air or catch a game on the big screen TV as the grill master works his magic.  And if you so choose, a number of Victoria Island’s watering holes are just a 5 minute drive away.

The thing I loved most about this place isn’t the fact that it felt just like staying at my rich eccentric uncle’s house (complete with the “Kindly Speak In A Low Voice” signs) or that it’s super secure and the staff are really nice and helpful. No it’s the rack rates for the rooms and the prices of the meals in the menu, it really is affordable quality.

And if you log on to HotelNowNow.com right now it’s going to be hard to disagree.
