This beautiful and luxurious hotel in Ibadan is located at number 7 to 10 7th Avenue Oluyole Estate. Capital Inn is in close proximity to all the wonders of Ring Road i.e. fast food restaurants, shopping malls, clubs, cinemas and approximately 10 minutes away from Challenge Garage.
The Capital Inn was opened in 2015 with 30 rooms in 6 categories – Standard, Executive, Business, Diplomatic, Ambassador and Presidential suites. Each room is richly furnished with a king sized bed, writing desk, tea/coffee making set, armchairs and flat screen TV with cable channels. Certain rooms with balconies have been set aside for guests who smoke.
Other facilities at this boutique hotel include a well-fitted gym, swimming pool, free 24hour Wi-Fi access, on-site mart, comfortable lounges with TVs, beautiful works of African art and baby grand pianos that anyone can play. If music isn’t your cup of tea checkout the courtyard with the standard sized pool table. There’s a meeting room that accommodates 6 people and while there is no on-site multipurpose hall, Capital Inn has space that accommodates between 35 – 100 people across the road that is used for wedding receptions, parties and conferences.
There are two bars one in the lobby and another beside the gym. The restaurant is small but effective and the menu consists of affordable local and intercontinental cuisine. During my stay I had the Egusi and Chicken with poundo yam for dinner and toast, eggs and coffee for my complimentary breakfast. I found both meals to be extremely satisfactory.
I went out on the town and safely returned to the hotel in the early hours without incident. The hotel is secured by uniformed guards, patrolling police vans, high fences and CCTV cameras. Guests will discover that Oluyole estate is pretty quiet and laid back. Capital Inn has a central fire alarm, smoke detectors and fire extinguishers all over the property.
